Dear Mom,

Did you know that I was a hothead? Last night I kind of acted out of character. I let one of the guys that works for me get under my skin. My approach was all wrong, but I know that now. I called my wife after it happened and I was able to calm down. Mom, she always gets me to see things in a different perspective.

I want to apologize for allowing another August to come and go and not go to see you. This coming August Chris is getting married, and I am going to make sure to come by. I will have my kids with me as well. It will be their first trip to Cleveland.

I just want you to know that I love you. I don’t talk much anymore, but I still think about you everyday. There are so many things that are happening in my life right now that I want you to take a part in, or at least see your son as he grows.

But I know that you are always looking.
